Let's Catch Up
Well, it has been quite a gap since my last post. I'm not happy about that, but the good news is that it is because I've been so darn busy. As mentioned in the last post, I'll be in the 13th Annual Telephone Factory Lofts Art Show and Sale!
Also, on Halloween, I had the opportunity to paint on the most extraordinary surface.
It really is a good practice for artists to paint themselves every now and then. This past Monday, I made it out to East Atlanta Village for the monthly Dr. Sketchy's event (www.drsketchysatatlanta.com). This group is nicely done and it was good to draw from life again. The model was Chrystal Shawnda Leer of Syrens of the South (www.syrensofthesouth.com). I practiced drawing in a more cartoony style, which can be difficult for me to do from life. Chrystal was a fantastic model and even gave me a free pass to the next Syrens show for a drawing I did that incorporated a chandelier in it.
