Computer Sketch

I was working on composition for the Madison Oaks painting, so I tried a few things in a quick sketch in Painter. madison-oaks-painter

More Digital Fun

I've been practicing using Illustrator and Photoshop. Today I took a pencil drawing I did a few years back of Jennifer Sabatini then inked and colored it in the Adobe Suite.  Print

Wacom Upside the Head

I had a busy weekend, but managed to squeeze out a digital painting based on a photo I took in the Shenandoah Valley. One awesome thing about the digital painting is that you can focus and learn a lot of lessons valuable in any medium. Naturally, many of these come to mind after you finish the painting.

Adobe Dooby Doo

Dr_Sketchy1.jpgI spent today learning Adobe Illustrator. I've been wanting to be able to get around in it for a while, so today I took a drawing I did at Dr. Sketchy and loaded it in. After a days work, I now realize how I should've done this piece, as well as how to get more of the style I was looking for. Great program, and it is really cool to see your work without any pixelation no matter how close you zoom in.

Life is Good

I'm back in the swing of things. For the second week in a row, I drew a figure from life. Tonight I participated in a group I found on www.meetup.com. Garrin was the host, and I decided to work in a digital medium for a change. I did the piece below using Painter IX and a wacom tablet.   meetup1b.jpg
